When the protective equipment began to press in the care of Gotland, the doctor Franz Rücker got an idea. With pipe insulation, electric pipes and overhead plastic, hundreds of protective visors have been manufactured in just a few hours.

- After the Swedish Work Environment Authority released the restrictions on CE marking, we have tested on intensive care and they are very satisfied. The infectious surgeon has also approved the visor. But now we also need to make sure that those who are most vulnerable in elderly care receive enough protective equipment, says Franz Rücker.

Winner contribution at "Hack the Crisis Sweden"

The state initiative Hack for Sweden held the event "Hack the Crisis Sweden" on April 3-6, where 7,400 participants would within 48 hours develop prototypes and find concrete solutions to covid-19. And in the "Save Lives" class, Franz Rücker won with his contribution to care.

- Yes, it's huge. And on Thursday, Digg, the Digital Administration Authority , will continue to administer the idea and will see how to proceed for a general dissemination of the protection visor, he says.

Now Franz Rücker hopes that his idea will spread throughout the country.

- Sweden could quickly produce thousands of visors - both for healthcare and elderly care, he says.
