In the middle of the corona pandemic, the new shopping center in Storlien opened. In the village it is now quiet, this time there is usually plenty of Easter-shopping Norwegians and Norwegian guests in the area. The opening of the trade center was canceled due to the corona eruption and Norway's closed border. But even though no consignment has been held, this trade area has opened.

- It was sad that we had to postpone the opening, but you have to understand that. It's very quiet now, but I hope we can catch it when the border opens and the virus is under control, says Henrik Weile, store manager Coop Storlien.

80 jobs

The new trade area means 80 new jobs in the area. Anette Carlsson from Matfors has moved to Storlien with her family, she is one of the new employees. In the video above you can see her telling us what made her take the step and move to Storlien.
