Johanna Rolland had been showing "mild and overt" symptoms of Covid-19 for several days. A medical diagnosis confirmed on Tuesday a "strong suspicion of contamination", said his team. Suddenly, the mayor of Nantes and president of Nantes Métropole prolongs his confinement at home "until further notice, in accordance with the principle of sanitary precaution".

The elected socialist had already been confined to her home since the end of March, the date on which symptoms of coronavirus appeared in her daughter. She "continues to run the city and the metropolis as she has been doing for two weeks, in permanent contact with her teams, the State and the health authorities", specifies her entourage.

City council planned for April

Johanna Rolland also convened an audio conference on Tuesday with representatives of the majority and opposition political groups to take stock. In particular, she informed them of her intention to convene a municipal council by videoconference, "by the end of April", as the law allows.
