The director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at the Sharjah Police General Command, Lt. Col. Khalid Al-Ki, confirmed that the Traffic Department will continue to provide its services as usual, but at a distance.

He added that «there are exceptional transactions received by the administration in the traditional way, such as the issuance of official papers or permits to employers, or when there is a special problem that is not resolved electronically. In addition to investigating traffic cases related to the traffic prosecution, the transactions related to circulating vehicles, and the procedures for dismantling the home reservation device for the violating vehicles ».

And that services are fully available, except for examining drivers to obtain a driver’s license, as “it was decided to stop them precautionally, to prevent the spread of the Corona virus among workers and customers.”

The ironing pointed out that Sharjah Police previously announced the readiness of the “Customer Happiness Center” to respond to inquiries related to Traffic and Licensing Department, and it works from seven in the morning until five in the evening, and can be contacted via phone number (065177555), or by communicating through an application "WhatsApp" on the same number, adding that the center allows people of determination to renew their permits through direct contact, or through the application of "WhatsApp", in order to facilitate the dealers, and in line with the directions of the state under the current circumstances.

Al-Ki stressed that enabling customers to issue electronic ownership of corporate vehicles, through the UAE MOI application, while exempting delivery fees.

He pointed out that these measures are in line with the state’s directions to provide police services electronically, and via smart platforms, to ensure the health and safety of customers, in light of the current circumstances.

Al-Ki stressed the continuation of efforts to ensure business continuity through providing services through the designated centers, such as the registration village, Motor Check, Al-Futtaim Agency, Nissan Agency, and heavy technical examination, in addition to providing smart services through the electronic platforms of the Ministry of Interior and Sharjah Police.

He called the dealers to use smart platforms, organize the service request according to procedures, stick to their homes, and do not hesitate to call the numbers of the Traffic Department to answer any inquiries.
