- We make no independent decision. We have an assignment from Östgötatrafiken, says Christer Ekelund, communications manager at Arriva (who manages the operation with the Östgötap commuter).

For a period of 14 days, checks were stopped, but resumed on Monday, March 30.

"It was Arriva who made the decision to resume the controls," says Eva Jylltorp, Östgötatrafiken's communications manager.

According to her, Arriva did a risk analysis and after that, seven customer values, which belong to a risk group, were excluded from the control and were given other tasks.

- There are no discussions right now about going in the same direction as SL in Stockholm. It is very different counties and therefore different decisions are made. But if we get other indications from the region's infection protection, we can discuss how we do, says Eva Jylltorp.

Arriva says that you have daily, cross-industry meetings and that the decisions regarding ticket checks or not are different in different regions.
