The research company Kantar Sifo, together with the MSB, has investigated what changes Swedes have made to reduce the risk of being infected by covid-19 or to infect someone else. In the survey that started on March 21, people between 18-79 years were randomly selected from Kantar Sifo's online panel, where the ambition is, for five weeks, to conduct 100 interviews.

The study looked at thoughts about anxiety, the likelihood of becoming ill and behavior.

"Almost all of us have changed something"

The conclusions of the most recent survey, which was made between April 2-6, came with positive news, namely that as many as 98 per cent of the public have changed their behavior in some way.

"Almost all of us have changed something in our behavior to reduce the spread of infection in society," says Maria Bergstrand, Head of Operational Management at MSB, at the press conference and continues.

- In most parts, women are over-represented. Women have been more likely to adopt these tips and recommendations to change their behavior.

More shopping on the internet

The behaviors that have changed most since the last survey are that the public has become better at washing their hands frequently, using hands-on spirits, avoiding close contact, not inviting guests, reducing travel, and shopping less in stores but all the more on the internet.

- It is important to get a confirmation that the information reaches the vast majority. We are fully aware that we must continue to work with information initiatives that reach everyone. We need to change our behavior in different ways to spread the contagion spread and not overload the care. So we're not there yet, but we've come a long way with this.
