The colleges confirmed on their official account on the social networking site "Twitter" that the adoption of this mechanism came after a study of international best practices with a view to taking into account the interest of all students, including distinguished students, and ensuring that their cumulative rates do not go down and graduate on the specified date, taking into account the topic of their future career or completion of postgraduate studies .

She pointed out that the new mechanism for calculating the cumulative average for college students includes supporting items that enable them to maintain their academic levels in a way that ensures their cumulative rates remain in their current or higher status and not lower them, as the new mechanism includes considering the cumulative average and academic status in the first semester of this year is The basic reference in student assessment, and the final grade point average is calculated automatically.

The colleges pointed out that if the final mark of the subject is higher than the cumulative average, it will be calculated in the new accumulative average and the hours approved for the subject, while if the final mark of the subject is less than the accumulative average, then the new accumulative average will not be counted, but the credit hours approved for it will be calculated.

The colleges also announced the extension of the period of student withdrawal from any registered subject until the date of the 30th of the month of April, without this being considered a fee, taking into account the interest of the students.
