The response to the reporting on Kerstin Hedman has been enormous. Henrik Holmsten was one of the first to offer to help and today SVT joined when he handed over a lunch box to Kerstin.

- I would like to stand up and I know that there are others who do too, says Henrik.

- It is nice that there are nice people, Kerstin notes.

Responded to the publication

Like many others, Henrik responded to the information that Sundsvall Municipality charges according to the home service tariff of SEK 379 per hour when older people need help going to the store so as not to risk being infected by the corona virus.

- I can understand that there are many who do not cope with such a cost, says Henrik.

The municipality's turn

Following SVT's reporting, the municipality of Sundsvall has issued information that elderly people who normally do not need help with shopping, as in Kerstin's case, should now receive help with purchases free of charge.

"It's not just me who needs help, there are many others in the same situation so it must be great," she says of the municipality's turn on the issue.
