The American senator, representative of the left wing of the Democratic Party, announced to his team on Wednesday that he was abandoning the presidential race, according to a press release.

" Senator Bernie Sanders announced on Wednesday with his entire team that he was suspending his campaign to become president, " his campaign team wrote in the statement. " The campaign ends, the struggle continues, " adds the latter.

Biden alone against Trump

Former Vice President Joe Biden, 77, is now guaranteed to face Republican President Donald Trump on November 3. But he has yet to be officially nominated a candidate by the party at a convention, which was postponed until August because of the coronavirus pandemic.
