They too are suffering the consequences of the coronavirus. Since the start of confinement, animals have suffered from the confinement of humans. Wednesday morning, personalities launched a petition for the establishment of a waiver giving the possibility of coming to shelters for adoption. On Europe 1, Michel Drucker explains why he is behind this call for the executive in favor of animals.

Donations and food down

Manuela Lopez, Brigitte Bardot, Laurence Boccolini, Valérie Damidot… They are around forty to request the return of adoptions in the shelter. "There are a lot of animals that will die because we will no longer be able to take care of it, it's good to think about it too", describes Michel Drucker, who talks about donations and food that no longer arrive and fewer volunteers "for reasons we imagine".

"We cannot close our eyes to all these animals that are in distress. When we love animals, we can not not think about it," insists the famous host of the public service. This is why he is asking for this exemption, which could allow volunteers to have "easier access to shelters".

"We understand that the Head of State, Christophe Castaner and Didier Guillaume have other concerns", concedes Michel Drucker, however optimistic: "We can take care of the elderly, people in distress, and also animals. "
