The Football Association has awarded its member clubs a grant of 723,000 euros to alleviate the financial difficulties caused by the coronavirus, the association said on Wednesday.
The grant application opened last Friday, and according to the association, applications flowed in at a rapid pace.
- This is about the real distress that is in the clubs in this difficult situation. The application process and the processing of applications were made as simple as possible, so that decisions can also be made quickly, the Finnish Football Association informed.
A total of 103 applications have been received and 99 of them have been accepted and transferred for payment. By noon on Wednesday, the most money had been allocated to the Helsinki Football Club HJK, EUR 67,500.
The subsidy assists clubs in the salaries of their full-time staff, and HJK has the largest number of full-time employees, ie 45.
All but HIFK had applied for a grant from the league clubs. You can apply for the grant until April 30.
