Today, the Council of Ministers approved the formation of the Supreme National Committee for Volunteerism in Crisis, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and includes representatives from relevant authorities.

The committee aims to develop an integrated and sustainable system for volunteering in the country during crises, in cooperation with all parties involved in volunteering in the country, individuals and institutions.

The committee will supervise the work of all volunteer agencies at the state level during crises, activate the "volunteers.ae" platform as a main platform to receive and approve volunteer requests in times of crises, supervise volunteers during crises and ensure their health and safety and provide all necessary support to them, and the committee will also coordinate with Local government and semi-government agencies to standardize volunteer campaigns during crises.
