After union negotiations, the NWT Group has decided to lay off 55 of its employees in the short term. Most people work with advertising sales and advertising production in the media business. - We can clearly see that many of our advertising customers are now having a tough time. There are many companies in commerce, restaurants, travel and hotels that are actually struggling for their survival. This obviously affects us as well, says Mats Muregård, CEO of NWT Gruppen AB, in a press release.
Short-term permits start to apply during this week and concern sellers, advertising producers, reception / exchange, IT, real estate service and freight reception.
- Most will go down 20 percent in time and the hope is that we can quickly start again when the emergency crisis is over and the social economy hopefully turns upwards, says Mats Muregård.
At present, no editorial staff is affected by short-term leave.
