The day before, 637 people had died from Covid-19. Spain has suffered a total of 13,798 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

Experts from the Ministry of Health noted last week that the cases and deaths of the weekend were registered late, which explained the upward inflections at the beginning of the week.

The number of cases reported in 24 hours also increased faster, by 4.1% compared to 3.3% the previous day, reaching 140,510 in the country most hit by Covid-19 behind Italy.
