If a person in a retirement home turns out to have covid-19, then everyone first counts on the accommodation that was potentially infected.
During the weekend, the number of infected people in elderly homes has been still around 20 people.
When it comes to staff, the number of infected and suspected infected persons has dropped. Last week that figure was over 50 people, but on Monday morning the figure was instead 39. That includes both the 19 in the staff who have a confirmed coronary infection and those who have been tested but are still waiting for answers.
According to Magnus Johansson, director of health and care in the municipality of Norrköping, the situation is stable but strained.
In Linköping, on Monday there were 23 confirmed cases of covid-19 among residents of the municipality's elderly housing.
