The nervousness is evident in the Agora cultural center in Linköping. Project manager Kristoffer Dezsi frenetically trunks on one of the cymbals in the drum set, while Emmy Karlsson sticks intently to the knitting that will be included in a number where she knits for hard rock music.

"As a freelance cultural worker, of course, all the exhibitions and live performances are heavy and there is great concern," says artist Mattias Hofvendal, who will soon read a text for a montage film for the cameras.

"We find new ways to build things"

But in the middle of the tough, he also sees the creative.

“It also means that we must find new solutions and ways to disseminate or build things that can reach an audience in other places as well. Maybe we will continue with this, even when the pandemic is over?

Linköping Municipality has paid a fee to local artists who have performed Kulturlive Linköping for several days: Performances that have been broadcast live online.

- This has hit the cultural workers hard, as many do not have the same safety net as in other professions. Many are small entrepreneurs and freelancers, says project manager Kristoffer Dezsi, who works with culture in Linköping municipality.

"Can lead to new artistic expression"

But even he sees that it can lead to new artistic expressions.

- For example, we can design live art and sound art that I have not seen in this format before.
