While the alarm reports have been tight enough about the lack of protective equipment at the municipalities, the issue of coordination has been highlighted between authorities in the past weeks.

The government gave an assignment to the National Board of Social Affairs, which asked for help from the MSB and the county administrative boards, which in turn bounced back a request to the government for an explicit mandate to carry out the coordination.

Now the government has made a decision that gives the county administrative board the right to request information from the municipalities. These are both protective equipment for the staff and sampling equipment for covid-19.

Unresolved issues are forwarded

The County Administrative Board will "work for coordination" and assess the need for any redistributions within the region.

If the issues cannot be resolved, the county administrative board can submit its assessment to the National Board of Social Services, which has the right to decide on a redistribution between municipalities and / or regions.

The government decision signed by Civil Minister Ardalan Shekarabi reached the county administrative boards today, some but not all of which have already started to collect the municipalities' needs.
