Lina Jansson and Pontus Thinggaard from Malmö looked forward to their big day in May when they would say yes to each other. Then came the corona crisis. While they were worried about whether the wedding would get over the main thing, they were suddenly told that the company that was going to organize the party had gone bankrupt.

- We laid a booking fee and a deposit of just over 30,000. We then received an e-mail stating that the money was gone. The money has been paid in the belief that they are there, says Lina Jansson and continues.

Can't get the money back

That they do not get their money back is partly due to the fact that they paid in advance and that money was deposited into the company's ordinary account.

- They had to have a special agreement to ensure that the money had not gone into the regular account. Now so-called priority feedings go before, that is, I can not repay any money to the bridal couple even if I had wanted, says Bo Ransnäs, bankruptcy manager.

Will still be a wedding

Now the couple plans to get married in August instead.

- We include in the calculations that this can continue. We may have a plan B as it approaches and see what the situation looks like then, ”says Pontus Thinggaard.
