It is clarified that the average indicator of food expenses in the regions of Russia during the period from 2004 to 2018 decreased by about 10%.

The smallest indicator of food costs is observed in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (24%), as well as Moscow (25%) and Moscow Region (25%).

In December 2019, Ingushetia was also recognized as the leader of the rating, and the lowest percentage of spending on food among Russian regions was recorded in Tatarstan.
