The firefighters intervened on Saturday to rescue two people whose car made an exit from the road and fell into a ravine the day before, about 50 meters below the road, in Lamelouze, in the Gard.

According to information from the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service, the two occupants were unable to notify the emergency services and therefore spent the night inside their vehicle.

One seriously injured

On Saturday, one of the two injured was able to get back on the road and alert the firefighters, who were assisted during their intervention by a team from the intervention group in perilous environments and a Civil Security helicopter.

One of the two occupants of the car was seriously injured, the other slightly injured.
