Sweden used to have emergency storage facilities, just like Finland, but the premises have been emptied and are now being used for other purposes. Social Minister Lena Hallengren tells the decision in the SVT Agenda.

- Yes it is right, we have had large stocks and we have widely, across all parties made sure to abolish these. We see in this situation that it was wrong, she says.

- It is time to say it now, but we are working on rebuilding this contingency.

When asked why we no longer needed to be prepared, the minister said she did not want to point out anyone.

- We are in an extraordinary crisis and I do not want to point a finger at anyone, because there are many who need to think about the systems we have had and how we have equipped ourselves. We need to make sure we have a better order and make sure that we are better equipped for the future, ”says Lena Hallengren.
