The Integrated Transport Center, affiliated to the Department of Municipalities and Transport, launched a free “bus on demand” service through the “Abu Dhabi ealthcare Link” smart application for employees working in the health sector with their various specialties, in order to transfer them between their homes and their workplaces in Abu Dhabi city, in appreciation of the great efforts they are making Medical personnel and workers in health care facilities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to address the Corona virus (Covid 19) in a manner that supports and facilitates the movement of their movements under the current circumstances.
The Center stated that the new service is based on providing transportation (from door to door) from six in the evening until eight in the morning, during the period of restricting traffic applied to public transport within the precautionary measures and preventive measures taken at the country level to limit the spread of Corona virus.
The center pointed out that the new service aims to secure a free, comfortable and safe transportation for employees working in health facilities between their homes and their workplaces and to ensure their return after the end of the day in an easy and easy way, and that saves them time and effort by running a bus on demand of a type of Mercedes «Sprinter» that is distinguished With its modernity and advanced specifications. This initiative also comes within the framework of keenness to facilitate the movement of medical personnel during the period of restricting the movement of transportation applied within the procedures and measures taken to address the Corona virus. The center added that it will study during the coming stage the possibility of expanding the geographical scope of the service and its operating times, while stressing that it does not aim to replace the private transportation facilities provided by health facilities, but rather it supports and complements its services.
This service can be accessed for employees of health facilities only, by downloading the “Abu Dhabi Healthcare Link” application on the smartphone from “Apple Store” and “Google Play” and then following the following steps: Determining the user’s location and the target destination and choosing the best flight path For him before pressing the reservation option and then following the path specified in the application to reach the bus location that will be at the closest possible point of it, the driver's name, bus type and its plate number will also appear in the application.
