WHO President Tiedros Adhanom called on African Union leaders to work in an integrated manner, in preparation for what he described as the imminent storm in the incidence of new Corona virus (COFED-19) in the continent.

Adhanom said African leaders should speed up access to medicines and vaccines. The call came at the virtual mini summit in which the heads of nine African countries and the President of the African Commission and the President of the World Health Organization participated.

For his part, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abi Ahmed confirmed that his government decided not to impose a total curfew in the country to confront the spread of Corona.

He added that we cannot fully implement the comprehensive prohibition measures as is the practice in some countries, because each country has its own peculiarities, and we are in a country where millions live on a daily wage, and if we impose the embargo on them, we may save them from the Corona virus, and kill them with hunger, because the government cannot provide They have food.

Fear and anxiety
According to Al-Jazeera correspondent in Addis Ababa Hassan Razzaq, Ethiopia, like other African countries, is in a state of alert and anxious that the high number of injuries has reached its peak, and pointed out that the solution lies in prevention, especially in light of the weak capabilities in African countries.

According to Razzaq, the future in Africa appears frightening and disturbing, so many countries have sought to tighten preventive measures.
