Now, voices are being raised against the new guidelines from the regions and the Public Health Authority, which say that oral protection is not needed if you have visors in certain surveys.

Ambulance nurse Jimmy Henriksson has been involved in the matter and is one of the people behind the initiative to refuse to lower the hygiene requirements, which at the time of writing has almost 60,000 members on Facebook.

- Concerns exist all over the country, it concerns the entire care system, he says in SVT's Agenda.

Jimmy believes that politicians and authorities are listening too little to those who work close to the infection.

- Help us in this. It feels like a risk-taking one. It feels absurd, it's not for us who work close to patients. It creates worry and insecurity, he says.

"An insidious disease"

Chief physician Johan Styrud is concerned about the situation and how he and his colleagues will cope with the prevailing press and how they should avoid becoming ill themselves if they do not have access to the protective equipment they need.

- It would be extremely awful to get sick yourself. It is a disgusting disease, you do not know who gets very sick and who gets little. You expect the employer to have adequate protection, he says in the SVT Agenda.

During the previous week, several nurses and doctors were on the intensive, covid-19 disease.

According to Johan Styrud, the fact that healthcare personnel do not have access to proper equipment can lead to corona patients not receiving the care they need.

- The biggest risk is that the staff feels insecure and does not dare to do what is reasonable. They may not dare go in to the patient to the extent they need, says Johan Styrud.
