Yesterday, the Saudi Ministry of Health announced the registration of four new deaths from the emerging coronavirus, with the announcement of isolation measures and a partial curfew in seven districts of Jeddah.

In detail, Ministry of Health spokesperson Mohamed Al-Abdali pointed out, at a press conference, that 140 new cases of the virus were recorded, bringing the total confirmed cases in the Kingdom to 2179 cases.

The spokesman pointed to the recovery of 24 cases, indicating that out of the total of the injured, 1730 active cases are still receiving health follow-up.

On the other hand, the Saudi Ministry of Interior said in a statement yesterday, that the authorities announced measures to isolate and partially curfew in seven neighborhoods in the Red Sea city of Jeddah, as of yesterday, as part of measures to contain the spread of the new Corona virus. The ministry added that the residents of the aforementioned neighborhoods will be allowed to leave their homes for the necessary needs, such as health care and catering, within the scope of the isolation area, during the period from six in the morning until three in the afternoon.

The statement indicated that entry and exit from these neighborhoods will also be prevented.

The neighborhoods are: 14 km south, 14 km north, Al Mahjar, Galil, Al Qurayyat, 13 km, Petromin.

The Ministry affirmed that all activities authorized to perform its duties continue during curfew times in all healthy isolated neighborhoods, in the strictest limits and in accordance with the procedures and controls set by the concerned authority.

To that, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority launched a service to issue exit permits for non-emergency situations at the time of curfew through an electronic application called "Saafni", to facilitate the issuance of permissions to citizens, as the President of the Red Crescent Authority directed the operation of the operating rooms in the capital Riyadh and Jeddah, and to increase the number of employees in All regions of the Kingdom to accommodate the reports received by the Red Crescent in light of the crisis «Coved 19».

Kuwait records the first death from the Corona virus

Yesterday, the official spokesman for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health, Abdullah Al-Sanad, announced the registration of the first death of the newly created Corona virus in the country.

Al-Sind was quoted by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) as saying that the death of a 46-year-old Indian resident had contracted the virus.

He pointed out that 62 new cases of HIV infection had been recorded in the country during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 479.
