A 21-year-old man was sentenced to 18 months in prison, including six with probationary suspension, for having run into his car with municipal police, learned 20 minutes from the prosecution. The judges of the Béziers criminal court also issued a warrant.

He was prosecuted on counts of aggravated refusal to comply, violence with a weapon without incapacity, rebellion and conduct under the influence of an alcoholic state. He had 0.76 mg of alcohol per liter of exhaled air.

Police used their weapons

The events occurred on the night of April 1, 2020, in Agde. After refusing a first check, he directed his vehicle at high speed towards two municipal police officers stationed in front of their vehicle blocking the traffic lane. They had to use their weapons to stop him. One used an LBD, the second fired a pistol in the body.

Arrested, he rebelled, lightly injuring one of the police officers on the finger. The court also ordered the confiscation of his vehicle. He was unknown to justice.
