In the midst of a coronavirus health crisis, The Greens are holding their federal council on Saturday, by videoconference. At the center of their discussions, no longer their good results in the first round of the municipal elections in March, but the Covid-19 epidemic.

REPORT

They had long planned to meet to take stock of the municipal elections. But despite their good performance in the first round, the Greens will not put the elections at the heart of the debates on Saturday. Carried out by interposed screens, the meeting will mainly focus on the coronavirus epidemic, with two axes: the first on what can be done and better done during the crisis, the second on the after.

CORONAVIRUS ESSENTIALS

> How long are healthy carriers contagious?

> What are the side effects of chloroquine?

> Adulterated tests, false calls for donations ...: watch out for scams linked to the coronavirus

> Reading, board games ... How to stimulate your brain during confinement?

> How to avoid gaining pounds during confinement?

"The crisis is not just a health issue, it is a sign of the world's disturbances"

"There is a new model to build," insists one among the Greens. "The crisis is not just sanitary, it is a revealer of the world's disturbances," adds a leader. And environmentalists intend to weigh in the stimulus desired by the president: "We can hardly trust Emmanuel Macron and Edouard Philippe to invent, all alone, the next world", he continues.

"Overall, what we will have to change is what we have been wearing from the start," explains a somewhat annoyed executive. "The problem is that on the left, everyone says that". Difficult therefore to make their difference heard. They will bet on form by engaging in dialogue with unions and associations. A leader is formal: "We will only get out of this crisis by a democratic renewal."
