As part of the campaign to combat the Covid-19, Olympique de Marseille announced on Saturday that it will make the Vélodrome stadium and its La Commanderie training center available, for example for a screening campaign during deconfinement.

In a statement on its website, OM specifies that its infrastructure could also be used to house medical staff, store equipment or food, or even ensure "the distribution of equipment and goods to suffering individuals".

Recalling that "efforts for greater solidarity and unity are more necessary than ever as the most difficult days approach with the arrival of the peak of the epidemic", OM also reiterated in this press release its strong tribute to caregivers, these "everyday heroes".

For the past week, every evening at 8 p.m., the Vélodrome has been lit up to greet these staff and the stadium's sound system has been broadcasting the famous "Aux Armes, Nous Nous les Marseillais", the song of Olympian supporters.
