An official statement of the Presidency of the Egyptian Republic stated that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed the postponement of events and openings of the major national projects that were supposed to be carried out during the current year 2020 to the next year 2021, including the move to the new administrative capital, as well as the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Museum of Civilization Egyptian, due to the circumstances and repercussions of the process to combat the spread of the emerging Corona virus, whether at the national or international level.

The statement said that President Al-Sisi met today, Saturday, with Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and Dr. Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, in the presence of Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Advisor to the President of the Urban Planning, and according to what the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, Ambassador Bassam Radi, said, His page on the social networking site "Facebook", the meeting dealt with a review of the business strategy during the coming period in the construction and building sites in light of the repercussions of the emerging crisis of the Corona virus.

The statement added that President Sisi directed the application of the highest levels of preventive measures to provide safety and health care requirements for site personnel and maintain their safety, communicate with companies and contractors to coordinate for this purpose and find out the required field health needs and educate workers on how to combat the Corona virus and effective prevention methods, including regulation of mixing Motion and interest in daily personal protective behavior.
