The director of the Happiness and Marketing Department at the Union Cooperative, Dr. Suhail Al-Bastaki, said that the cooperative obligated all shoppers to wear masks and gloves before entering the sales outlets in order to ensure their safety, as part of the precautionary measures and measures to prevent the spread of the Corona virus.

He added that the cooperative provided gloves to customers at the entrances to the outlets and put plastic bags on all shopping carts that are continuously sterilized before they are delivered to the customers.

He pointed out that shopping carts are sterilized with soap, water and sterilizers daily, in addition to providing sterilizers at the entrances to the association in all its branches for customers to use to sterilize their hands before and after shopping.

On a tour of Carrefour and Lulu shopping centers and an ambassador in Ajman and Umm Al Quwain, it was found that there is an employee to measure the shoppers' temperature as a mandatory condition to enter the centers for the safety and health of all shoppers, and everyone's temperature is checked before they are allowed to enter the shopping.

On his part, Walid Al-Maghrabi, director of purchases and operations at the Emirates Cooperative Society in Dubai, said that the association measures the temperature of shoppers and workers of companies supplying food and products and all employees before entering the association daily, as a preventive measure to reduce the Corona virus, adding that all customers are cooperating With procedures, they come to the association wearing masks and gloves.

He added that the association has allocated workers to sterilize shopping carts before and after their use by shoppers, in addition to providing sterilizers, masks and gloves for shoppers of all kinds and at various prices.
