A car was hit by a falling tree and crashed into a ditch at 21 o'clock on Thursday evening.
"It was a fairly coarse tree that fell straight down in the windscreen during travel," Tommy Lieback, internal commander at Södra Älvsborg's rescue services association, told the newspaper.
The driver was unconscious when the rescue service arrived at the scene and was taken to hospital.
"Unfortunately, the driver died, relatives have been informed," Aki Kononen of Borås police told BT.
