The Media Center of the Egyptian Cabinet denied the information circulated by the social media pages regarding the installment and delay of collecting electricity bills from citizens for a period of 3 months due to the spread of the Corona virus.
The Media Center of the Council of Ministers contacted the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, which denied these reports, confirming that it had not issued any decisions or statements in this regard, and that all electricity bills are collected on time without delay.
She explained that an electronic inquiry, payment and collection service for electricity bills was available for different types of meters, using the electronic payment code present on the receipt of electricity bills through the various payment methods provided by the ministry, to facilitate the citizens in parallel with the state’s plan to take the necessary preventive measures to limit the spread Corona virus, as for this false news, it aims to create confusion among the public opinion, and a repeated attempt to sow discord, and we call upon citizens not to deal with these publications, and to obtain information from their reliable sources.
