China News Service, April 2. According to the Thai National News, the Governor of Thailand ’s Chiang Rai Province ordered on the 1st that all people entering Chiang Rai must wear a mask and be inspected at a checkpoint.

The announcement said the ban will apply to all tourists, whether walking, taking a private car or public transport.

Those who cannot prove that they are a local resident of Chiang Rai or have a workplace in Chiang Rai, and those who do not wear a mask or refuse to be checked will be denied entry to Chiang Rai.

Those who are allowed to enter Chiang Rai must provide their names, addresses, and telephone numbers to inspection officials, and strictly follow the recommendations of the health department, including maintaining a distance of at least 1 meter from others, and washing their hands frequently.

Vehicles carrying products or materials intended for sale or manufacture in Chiang Rai Province are still allowed in, but must also be screened.
