Gripsholm's inn, which is Sweden's oldest from 1609, has since closed its operations on Monday. After the weekend, Dufweholm's mansion will also have to close. This is because the bookings have been too few in the traces of the corona pandemic.

- Our hope is that we will still be able to have a wedding during the summer. And we still have Södertuna castle running, says Swedish culture pearl's CEO Fredrik Åström.

"Building a new company"

He has been forced to resign 98 percent of the total workforce, and only seven people remain in the company.

- It's very tragic. For our family, for the employees and for our guests. We will get out of this, but then it's about building a whole new company, ”says Fredrik Åström.

He hopes that people will travel more within Sweden's borders this summer and that the countryside may benefit from it.

- People will be afraid of being in the big cities, maybe it can be our rescue.
