The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that the assistant leaders of Germany and France during the telephone conversations, under various pretexts, avoided supporting the agreements between Kiev and Donbass.
Then, during a meeting of the contact group to resolve the situation in the east of Ukraine on March 26, Kiev took a similar position.
“It seems that the Ukrainian negotiators did this not without prompting from outside ... We urge partners in the Norman format to stop political games and, finally, start serious negotiations to resolve the conflict in the Donbass,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a comment.
They emphasized that the rejection of the reached and fixed agreements cancels the achieved progress.
“All these events look like a well-coordinated line. I don’t want to believe that it hides an attempt to torpedo progress in negotiations to overcome the intra-Ukrainian crisis and at the same time shift the responsibility for the deadlock to Russia and the Donbass, ”the ministry added.
