Earlier, at least 30 states including North Dakota, Hawaii, Montana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, multiple overseas territories, and Washington, DC had entered a "major disaster" state.

According to data from Johns Hopkins University, as of 5:11 am on April 3rd, Beijing time, a total of 238,820 confirmed cases of new crown pneumonia in the United States have occurred, and 5,758 people have died. Among them, New York, New Jersey, Michigan, and California all had a cumulative diagnosis of more than 10,000, and New York had 92,381 confirmed cases, making it the most severely affected state in the United States.
