The Grand-Est region counted 4,470 hospitalized patients with coronavirus on Wednesday, including 918 in intensive care. Since the start of the epidemic, 1,126 people have died in hospital in this region, according to government figures. A total of 1,975 people were able to return to their homes after hospitalization in the region.
Over 100 transfers abroad
To relieve establishments in the Grand-Est, 115 transfers of patients abroad had been made as of March 31: 7 to Luxembourg, 23 to Switzerland and 85 to Germany. "They mainly benefited patients cared for in establishments in the Haut-Rhin, Bas-Rhin and Moselle departments," said the regional health agency.
Several dozen other patients have been transferred to western and southern France.
