Today, Thursday, the Iranian Fars Agency reported that Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani was infected with the new Corona virus, after a positive test result.
The Iranian agency noted that "the results of the examination of the Speaker of Parliament, Larijani, have been positive, and it is now being quarantined."
And the Iranian Ministry of Health announced today, Thursday, that 124 new deaths from the newly created Corona virus and 2,875 cases, bringing the total deaths in the country to 3,160 people, while the infections exceeded 50 thousand people.
The ministry spokesman, Kyanosh Jahanopur, told a press conference that "2875 new infections and 124 deaths from the Corona virus have been recorded within the past 24 hours."
With this, he added, "the total of the injured amounts to 50,468 and the deaths reached 3160 people, while more than 11 thousand others recovered."
Iran is among the most suffering countries in the world in light of the spread of the Corona epidemic around the world, and the continuation of the US sanctions on Tehran.
