In the midst of the coronavirus emergency, Donald Trump launches a huge drug operation to "defend the Americans" from those who want to take advantage of the crisis to bring illegal drugs into the United States. The goal is to stop "evil actors", such as the President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro who finances his regime with drugs, explains the American president flanked by the Minister of Justice William Barr and the head of the Pentagon MarkEsper. "We must prevent drugs from reaching our borders. Many criminal organizations want to capitalize on the current emergency," says the defense minister. Barr echoes him: "destroying the Mexican cartels must remain our priority". The fight against cartels is also useful in the battle against coronavirus, adds Trump admitting that he has under study restrictions on air flights in the areas most affected by coronavirus, including New York and Miami.
