Konashenkov noted that La Stampa in his articles manipulates “low-grade Russophobic fakes of the Cold War era” and uses what anonymous sources manage to invent “based on textbooks on anti-Soviet propaganda that have not yet decayed.”

“As for the attitude towards the real customers of the Russophobic media campaign in La Stampa, which we know - we recommend that you learn the ancient wisdom, - Qui fodit foveam, incidet in eam (who digs a hole for another, falls into it himself),” says his statement published Facebook Defense Ministry.

They also emphasized that these attacks will not force Russia to abandon Italy's assistance in combating the epidemic of coronavirus infection.
