It is noted that they are suspected of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 30 and h. 2 Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“Preparing for the commission of a crime”, “Participation in the activities of an organization which, in accordance with the laws of Russia, is recognized as terrorist”).

The FSB said that these individuals, “professing the ideas of radical Islam, planned through third countries to enter the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic to participate in an armed conflict in the ranks of an international terrorist organization."

Earlier, the FSB identified in the Crimea, Komi and Rostov Region a cell of the “Islamic State” *, whose members collected about 2 million rubles for the militants.
