A graduate in telecommunications and installed in the suburbs of Nairobi, Ivy Brenda Cherotich is a young, smiling and energetic woman of 26 years old. She is now a celebrity. After traveling between the United States and London, she became the number one patient in Kenya. After 23 days of quarantine in the hospital, she finally got out.

She explains that she fell into tears, shocked and frightened when she was told that she was positive. Now healed, she asks Kenyans with symptoms to quarantine themselves and contact the authorities. " Failure to do so would be selfish, " she said, given the risk of infecting a vulnerable person.

Need for awareness

This is what she did. Ivy Brenda Cherotich quickly called the health authorities. Thanks to this reactivity, she only infected one person, her friend Brian Orinda, also healed. He believes there are still many Kenyans who believe that the Covid-19 does not exist. He asked for awareness and called on the population to take maximum precautions.

According to President Uhuru Kenyatta , this healing is a source of pride despite the current challenges. In fact, despite the good health of Brenda and Brian, the number of patients continues to increase in Kenya.
