For several days, Véronique Asselineau-Molina, orthopedic surgeon at the Bicêtre hospital in Paris in normal times, has therefore donned the nursing aid gown in intensive care units. "For the past few days, I have only very rarely been a surgeon. I am sometimes a nursing assistant, as I was this morning. I happened to be a nurse. It was obvious," recalls she.

Because for her, despite the impossibility of improvising resuscitation, "it was out of the question to see everyone exhausted and not to help".

Finally, his daily life is partly turned upside down. "You really have to dress like a cosmonaut to enter the room. I take the heart rate, the blood pressure, I bring the meals, I help with the toilet. We are the only links they have, so we talk to patients, "she said. And to conclude: "It is exhausting because I have been working every day for 12 days. But we cannot leave people without help."
