Corona: A thousand deaths in the United States on a day, and Trump warns of a horrific death toll

Johns Hopkins University has announced more than a thousand deaths from coronavirus in one day in the United States, while President Donald Trump has said that the numbers of coronavirus infections and deaths this week will be shocking and that his country is preparing for the worst.

The American University indicated that the total number of HIV deaths in the United States rose to 4764, and the number of infections exceeded two hundred thousand.

New York State Governor Andrew Mark Como had announced that the state's total HIV death toll had risen to 1941, while infections had exceeded 83,000.

The New York governor asked for help from other states, and said that his state would need 110,000 beds, and 37,000 artificial respirators, and was likely to reach the height of the crisis within thirty days.

For his part, Trump announced at the daily press conference of the Corona Virus Control Committee that the United States will deploy naval ships in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific regions to prevent drug gangs from exploiting the Corona virus pandemic to intensify smuggling activities.

On the other hand, the US Department of Defense (the Pentagon) announced that the number of injuries among its employees has increased to 1405, and it announced the death of another employee due to HIV infection, which raises the number of deaths to five.

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Moscow had shipped aid on a military plane to the United States, including medical equipment and devices and masks.

European countries
In Russia, the Anti-Corona Operations Center announced the registration of eight new deaths from the virus. Russian President Vladimir Putin also signed a law authorizing the government to declare a state of emergency in the country.

In Italy, the Civil Protection Agency said that the number of deaths from the Corona virus during the past 24 hours was 727, bringing the number of deaths to 13155.

On the other hand, Italian doctors and unions warned that the government’s policy of sending patients who are discharged from hospitals to nursing homes, even though they carry the virus, is tantamount to launching “biological bombs”, while health authorities have confirmed that hospitals need to empty beds as soon as possible.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the arrival of two cargo planes loaded with masks, aseptic materials and medical aid to Italy and Spain.

In Turkey, the Minister of Health Fakhruddin Kuja announced that the number of deaths due to the Corona virus in Turkey reached 277, and the total number of HIV infections in Turkey rose to 15679.

The French Ministry of Health registered 4,861 new infections, bringing the total number to 56,989, while the number of deaths exceeded the 4,000 mark.

In Germany, the death toll from the Coronavirus has risen to 858, after 73 new deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours.

In Britain, the Ministry of Health announced 563 new deaths from the Corona virus, which brings the total deaths to 2,352, while the total number of infections reached 29,474.

The World Health Organization has announced that the number of people infected with the Corona virus in the world will exceed one million, and that the number of deaths will reach fifty thousand within days.

The Director of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Gebresus, expressed his deep concern about the "rapid increase in the frequency of outbreaks" of the emerging Corona virus, which has now reached most of the world.

The Saudi Ministry of Health recorded six new deaths from the virus and 157 infections, bringing the total to 1720.

For its part, the UAE announced the registration of 150 new injuries, bringing the total to 814, while the number of deaths rose to eight cases.

The Egyptian Ministry of Health announced that 99 injuries were recorded, for a total of 779, and six deaths were recorded, bringing the total to 52.

The Algerian News Agency reported that 130 new cases were recorded, bringing the total to 847, while the total number of deaths rose to 58.

In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Health announced the registration of 54 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of patients to 835.

In the Sultanate of Oman, the authorities declared complete health isolation for the state of Muttrah from today until further notice, in the context of confronting the Corona virus. It also announced the start of other exceptional precautions.

In Kuwait, the Ministry of Health announced the registration of 28 new cases of the Coronavirus, taking the total number to 317.

In Morocco, the Ministry of Health recorded 21 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing the number of infections to 638, the number of deaths reaching 37, and the number of people recovering at 26.

For its part, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip said that it is working with limited capabilities to confront the Corona virus due to the Israeli blockade imposed on the sector. The Ministry held the Israeli occupation authorities fully responsible for the lives of the two million people who live in the Strip.

In Iran, President Hassan Rouhani said that his country has taken the necessary measures to combat Corona, adding that all provinces indicate a low pathway for HIV infections.

The Iranian Ministry of Health recorded 138 deaths, bringing the total number of deaths to 3036. It also registered about three thousand new infections, bringing the total to about fifty thousand.
