Heavy wind gusts have pulled in over the southern part of the country on Thursday, bringing heavy showers of both rain and hail. SMHI has therefore issued Class 1 warnings in more than 30 counties, which among other things led to canceled train departures by the Swedish Transport Administration.

But after last night, the low pressure that caused these weather conditions should have crossed the country and will continue over Finland, according to SMHI. After that, the plus degrees are expected to increase and several parts of the country can get sunny spring weather as early as next week.

- It can certainly be a new annual peak already on Monday. So far we have had a maximum of 14.6 degrees, but at the beginning of next week it can be up to 15 degrees in the southern parts of the country, says Per Stenborg meteorologist at SVT.

More varied weather in the north

The heat may extend between the southern parts up to the southern Norrland coast, according to Per Stenborg.

- There will be real warm-air quite north in the country. It is also the trend that we look forward to the Easter weekend, he says.

This year there is quite a big difference in temperature between night and day, so you can expect it to be cold at night. But overall it is expected to be nice spring warm weather until the Easter weekend.

- But there will be more varied weather in the north. You can say that the cold and hot air will take turns in a little while. Even over the Easter weekend.

Classic April weather

But it is no wonder with the idea of the season we are in, says Per Stenborg.

- We are in a period now that a lot is happening. It is breaking time between winter and spring and then it can change very quickly. It is quite a classic April weather - that one day is not the same.
