Senior U.S.-Japan officials confirm telephone consultation after North Korean missile launch

Following the successive launches of ballistic missiles by North Korea, senior US and Japanese officials in charge of North Korea affairs consulted over the phone, confirming a close partnership for a complete denuclearization of North Korea.

North Korea fired four ballistic missiles last month alone, including two ballistic missiles fired last month.

In response, the Foreign Affairs Bureau's Director, Takizaki Asia-Pacific, spoke on the phone with U.S. Department of State Vice-Governor Vegan, who is in charge of North Korea issues.

In this context, they exchanged views on the latest developments on North Korea's missile launches and confirmed that they would work closely together to fully de-nuclearize North Korea.
