"In view of the very high uncertainty as to the timetable for leaving containment and the measures to restrict large gatherings, the Mayor of Paris and the Prefect of Police jointly agreed to a decision to cancel the 2020 edition of the Throne Fair, ”said the city in a press release.

But "if they wish, the fairground families currently installed on the Lawn of Reuilly can stay there until June 14, the date initially scheduled for their departure," said the town hall, which "will support the Fairgrounds in the implementation of this cancellation decision. Anne Hidalgo, the mayor, said she hoped that "the support mechanisms for economic actors put in place by the state would benefit fairground businesses hard hit by the fair cancellations in several cities in France".
