Nostalgia, when you hold us ... The chain L'Équipe garners large audiences with the replay of major matches in the history of the Blues, which it now offers because of the cessation of major competitions linked to the coronavirus.

In a press release published on Wednesday, the channel, available free on TNT, said that the replay of the France-Argentina match, in the round of 16 of the 2018 World Cup, had been followed Tuesday evening by 560,000 viewers on average (with a peak at 800,000 people in the process of being broadcast), according to data from Médiamétrie.

It is the second best audience score in the first part of the evening since the start of the year for the chain of the L'Equipe group.

The channel has broadcast several matches in "vintage" mode of the Blues since the beginning of the containment (including the legendary France-Germany 82, France-Brazil 86 and France-Spain 84).

Including the re-broadcast of France-Argentina, these evenings gathered an average of 330,000 viewers, specifies L'Equipe which will continue this operation nostalgia on Wednesday with the France-Uruguay quarter-final of the 2018 World Cup.

Canal +, BeIN and RMC Sports also rebroadcast former football competitions or other disciplines, but these broadcasters do not have specific audience data or did not wish to disclose it.
