The new crown pneumonia epidemic has spread worldwide. What happened to the overseas Chinese in various countries? China Overseas Chinese Network (ID: qiaowangzhongguo) has specially released a series of manuscripts of "Remaining Overseas", which tells the story of the "war epidemic" of the overseas Chinese. In this issue, Yang Hongyu of Fiji shares his story of staying behind.

The Spring Festival in 2020 is an extraordinary Spring Festival. This is the first week that Thurkuski came to our house.

Thurkuski is a grandma's little wolf dog. It is a German shepherd. They all say that German shepherd is smart and human, but this one in our family just sleeps, and keeps her ears closed.

Forgive him for being young and uneducated.

At the stage when the epidemic was not serious, some overseas Chinese in Suva, Fiji (known as "Su Village" by overseas Chinese), chose to return to China for vacation.

As a "village" resident on the garden island, I chose to go to the martial arts home in Melbourne, Australia to make up for two weeks.

It wasn't long before I arrived in Australia, and confirmed cases began in Sydney.

My mother who lived in the "Village" gave me a voice to tell me not to go out. I was eating all kinds of fish steaks, steaks, and steaks of Xiongyu comparable to Michelin Samsung.

"Uh-huh ... Come back to 'Village' next week ... Rest assured ..."

After the Lantern Festival, I returned to the "Village". There are already tens of thousands of confirmed cases in China.

Think of Nanjing's Xiaolong Tangbao juice flowing in the fan soup. Think of Shenyang's small barbecue bubbling on the grill. Think of Wuhan's crayfish rolling tightly in the oil. For the body, think of the roast duck in Guangzhou hanging from the stall, and think of the hot pot in Chengdu ...

No, I can't think about it. Folks can't let the epidemic dry up!

So the people of Xinqiao Association unanimously decided to refuel the country.

Within 5 days, we received donations of tens of thousands of RMB. A Fiji boss has donated thousands even when the tourism industry is almost stagnant. The boys of the Huang family had to pay their own salary in the case that their parents' family had donated nearly 10 families. There are also many people who did not leave their names.

They said, "If the motherland is good, we will be fine."

The money was donated to the front-line hospitals in Hubei through the Chinese Education Foundation of China. The vice chairman sent back all the juice produced in his factory. Societies in Zhongshan, Enping, Kaiping, and Fiji and the United Union have also donated money to the country.

In March, the epidemic in China was basically under control, but other countries began to spread.

On the 19th, Fiji had its first confirmed case. The patient was a Filipino airline.

Closing the city, reducing flights, self-isolation, emergency budgets ... the government is serious.

But people still seem unresponsive. Still walking in the streets without protection, the three smoked a cigarette and the ten drank a pot of kava (the national drink of Fiji).

The shopping malls in the "village" are all closed and empty.

On the 25th, there were 5 cases in Fiji. The "village people" really panicked. Regardless of whether it is true or not, one after another bought masks. Anyway, my consciousness has improved and I am still very happy.

It is said that the first half of the domestic game, the second half of the overseas game, the overseas Chinese played the whole game.

In February, we were still donating masks to domestic hospitals. In an instant, the masks in Fiji ran out. The Chinese company shut down its business with as few staff cuts as possible.

The company I was in also stagnated all business and closed the office.

Zhang Xiaoxian wrote a "Woman on Bread Tree". But I bet she must have never seen a man on the bread tree.

Women wear skirts, and men in Fiji wear them; women wear flowers on their heads, and men in Fiji wear them; women sit on trees and talk about gossip, and men also talk.

I wonder if she read it wrong. The one on the tree is actually a man.

Because she didn't know that the man in the skirt was the same beautiful and enchanting, the same grinning and big mouth silly smiling.

Even if there is only one bread tree left, we still have to laugh for tomorrow. (Yang Hongzhang)
