At present, the total number of confirmed cases of new crown pneumonia in the world has exceeded 860,000, and 13 countries have confirmed cases.

As of 24:00 on March 31, according to reports from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, there were 2004 confirmed cases (including 466 severe cases), a total of 3,312 dead cases, and a total of 76,238 cured and discharged patients. A total of 81,554 confirmed cases have been reported, and the proportion of cured patients discharged has continued to rise, reaching 93.5%.

Mi Feng, a spokesperson for the National Health Committee of the People's Republic of China and deputy director of the Department of Publicity, said on the 1st that among the locally diagnosed cases, more than one-third of the severe and critical illnesses must be fully committed to treatment. It is worth noting that on the 31st, 36 newly confirmed cases were reported, of which 35 were imported cases abroad and 1 was a local case. One new local case was the Hubei imported case reported in Shenzhen, Guangdong. At present, China has reported a total of 806 overseas imported cases and 691 overseas imported confirmed cases.

From a local perspective, one new case of new coronary pneumonia was confirmed in Hubei Province from 04:00 to 24:00 on March 31, which was an imported case from Wuhan (from asymptomatic infection to confirmed case); new asymptomatic infection was added 47 cases, 289 cases were released, and 982 cases of asymptomatic infection were still under medical observation.

The newly confirmed overseas imported case in Hubei that day was a 16-year-old man, registered in Caidian District, Wuhan City, and studying in the UK. It departed from Newcastle Airport in the United Kingdom on March 21, arrived in Beijing Capital Airport on March 22 via Dubai Airport Transit, and arrived in Wuhan Station on the evening of March 23. On March 28, the patient's nucleic acid test result was positive; on March 31, combined with the patient's clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings, etc., the correction was confirmed and the clinical classification was general.

Looking overseas, the global epidemic is still not optimistic. According to real-time statistics released by Johns Hopkins University in the United States, as of 14:35 on April 1, Beijing time, the number of confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in the world exceeded 860,000, reaching 860,181, with a cumulative death of 42,345. At present, the number of countries with a total of 10,000 confirmed cases worldwide has increased to 13.

On March 31, the largest single-day increase in deaths occurred in Spain, France and the United Kingdom. At present, Spain has confirmed a total of 94417 cases with 849 new deaths and a total of 8189 deaths; France has confirmed a total of 52128 cases with 449 new deaths and a total of 8523 deaths; the UK has a total of 25150 confirmed cases and 381 new deaths Cases, a total of 1789 deaths.
